I grow a lot of the same tropical plants at home, and the second I arrived in Hawaii all of my houseplants were dwarfed into tiny saplings. At home, I count how many ‘holes’ or fenestrations my new monstera leaves have to track how well it is growing. In Hawaii I didn’t count them on one leaf, there were simply too many to count. This image was made just after a downpour I was caught in while walking down Napoopoo rd, I found shelter under a tree and waited a few minutes for it to subside. It left everything glistening with the most beautiful drops of water.
